Last night the Russians successfully launched Soyuz 28S into orbit...in a snowstorm. That was pretty interesting to watch from Mission Control. I was disturbed later reading news headlines like "First human launch since NASA shut down". Really. If I had know that NASA had shut down I wouldn't have bothered to show up for my shift.
